Gravity Research Materials LLC (GRM, we, or us) operates shopgrm.com. This policy explains how we handle information when you browse, place an order, or contact us.
Information we collect
When you order or contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number if supplied, order details, and correspondence. We also keep the purchase acknowledgments you submit. Please do not send medical information or payment-card details by email.
Our website and service providers process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser and device information, request times, pages requested, and shopping-session information. Shopping cookies help maintain your cart and checkout session.
We offer guest checkout; you do not need to create a customer account. We use store sales reports to understand our orders. Optional order-referral attribution is disabled. Previously recorded referral information may remain with older records.
How we use information
We use information to process and communicate about orders, arrange delivery, answer support requests, handle cancellations and complaints, maintain business records, protect against misuse and fraud, and meet applicable obligations. We use purchase and batch records to investigate product concerns and contact affected customers when necessary.
Service providers and disclosures
We disclose relevant information to providers that support website hosting, payment processing, shipping, business email, accounting, and customer support. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate misuse, or respond to a product concern.
Our providers include Pressable for website hosting, Google Workspace for business email, and Stripe for payment processing. The carrier or shipping provider used to fulfill an order receives the delivery information needed for that shipment.
We use WooCommerce Tax and its WordPress.com connection, provided by Automattic, to calculate sales tax using our store address and the customer’s address. Information needed to connect and operate these services is processed by the provider. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy.
Stripe processes payment, transaction, device and related information to provide payment services, authenticate transactions, prevent fraud and improve its services. Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies, and its payment interfaces can load wallet, authentication and fraud-prevention services, including CAPTCHA checks. These services may process information when you visit or enter information in checkout, even if you do not complete an order. If you choose a Stripe feature such as Link or saving a payment method, that feature is subject to the applicable Stripe terms and privacy disclosures. Learn more in Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
Pressable uses Gauges/Fathom for visitor measurement. This involves processing technical information such as IP address and browser information, along with page URLs, titles and screen dimensions. Visitor reporting is separate from the store’s order-referral attribution setting.
We also use AI-assisted tools, including OpenAI services, to help manage business correspondence and records. Relevant information from those records or correspondence may be processed by these services for that work.
Cookies and your choices
You can manage cookies through your browser. Blocking shopping-session or payment cookies can prevent cart or checkout features from working. Our site uses shopping-session functions, payment-provider services and hosting-related visitor measurement. Authorized private previews also use an access cookie. Existing browser cookies may remain until they expire or you clear them.
WooCommerce cookies maintain the shopping session, cart contents and cart state. Stripe cookies such as __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid support payment security and fraud prevention. Wallet and payment providers may also process device and interaction information according to their own privacy notices.
Our storefront does not currently have a separate automated response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Individual service providers may handle these signals differently. Pressable states that its Gauges/Fathom visitor counter respects Do Not Track. This does not mean that all store, payment or fraud-prevention processing stops when a browser sends a privacy signal. Your information and requests
Email support@gravityresearchmaterials.com to ask about your information or request access, correction or deletion. We may request information reasonably needed to verify that the request concerns your records. Some records may need to be retained to fulfill an order, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or address fraud and product concerns. Where applicable law gives you additional rights, we will handle requests under that law.
Retention and security
We retain information for the purposes described here, taking account of order fulfillment, accounting requirements, disputes, security and product traceability. Our store does not currently apply an automatic time-based deletion schedule to order records. Deletion requests are reviewed individually, including any records that must be preserved. Service providers maintain their own retention practices and may retain information for legal, payment-security or operational reasons; deleting a store record does not necessarily remove provider records or backups.
We use safeguards appropriate to the information and our operations, but no system can guarantee complete security.
Age restrictions
Our store is intended for purchasers age 21 or older buying for legitimate laboratory research. It is not directed to children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
Policy changes and contact
We will post revisions on this page and identify when the updated policy takes effect. For material changes, we will provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
